Several sessions are being held across the valley in the next month to gain input from area educators, parents, and business folks on ideas to improve offerings in our local schools in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Two of these sessions will be held in Yakima:

Monday, September 17
6:30 to 8 p.m.
Yakima Valley Technical Skills Center
1120 South 18th Street

Tuesday, October 9
6:30 to 8 p.m.
Perry Technical Institute
2011 West Washington Avenue

Attendees will have the opportunity to share what types of STEM-related educational offerings they feel our local students will need to have when they enter our community’s workforce in the years ahead. The sessions will also include updates on what is currently happening regionally in STEM education. You are invited to share your input at either of these community forums. Questions? Call (509) 853-1103. Learn more about the South Central Washington STEM Network at www.stem.esd105.org.
